Testing
To assess the functional suitability and
performance characteristics of tractors, power tillers, combine harvestors and
other agri. machines in accordance with
National / OECD standards.
To help the Financial Institutions in recommending the
financial assistance in respect of tested machines.
To ensure the conformity of product through the Batch
Testing Programme.
To assist in promotion of the export of Indian Tractors.
To test the tractors, combine harvestors etc. for their
compliances to Central Motor Vehicles Rules.
To encourage the manufacturers in product development by
providing confidential testing facilities.
To assist the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in
formulation of various standards/test codes on tractors and other
farm machines.
